 Fares & Ticketing Specialist – Ultimo, NSW 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a fares and ticketing specialist. This newly created role will see the right person assist with implementing and running a dedicated fares and ticketing desk to support our Travel Managers nationally. This role will also see you act as a key liaison point between all office locations, managing the relationship and dealing with situations as they arise.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  

·         Co ordinate and Implement set up of a dedicated ticketing cell in conjunction with the National Operations Manager.

·         Document policies and procedures for the cell.

·         Advise options and assist Travel Managers with establishing the best fare and itinerary for the required routing to ensure Travelcorp offers  

·         outstanding fares.

·         Maximise the financial return to Travelcorp at all times.

·         Apply in-depth knowledge of all published, nett remit and Travelcorp negotiated fares to all enquiries.

·         Interpret fare rules to ensure maximum benefit for our clients.

·         Liaise with airlines and other industry bodies, verbally and in writing, to clarify fares and ticketing related issues, policies and procedures.

·         Negotiate with airlines for WOMO fares and price matching opportunities for Travelcorp clients

·         Check BSP Link daily for any possible ADMs to stop before they come in by advising consultant and looking for possible options

·         Reassess fares when changes are made to existing tickets.

·         Process refunds

·         Run daily spectra’s/reports and manage queues.

·         Make suggestions to consultants and team leaders to eliminate or reduce ADMs.

·         Check new release fares to ensure that all conditions are correct, feasible and appropriate.

·         Assist consultants in all prime and reissue ticketing-related matters.

·         Examine nett remit validation error responses and take necessary action to rectify the problem.

·         Communicate urgent and regular (weekly) updates and industry information to the team via email.

·         Maintain the Travelcorp fares data base.

·         Provide support and analyse fares and ticketing issues within Travelcorp

 Location and Hours: 

The role is located in Ultimo Head Office for the first 3 months and will be reassessed after this The hours are 10:30am to  7pm, in order to cover Perth hours

 Required Qualifications:  

·         minimum of 2 years experience - very strong proven fares and ticketing abilities

·         An enthusiasm for working with fares and fare-related systems.

·         Superior knowledge of all types of fares in the market and a solid grounding in IATA fare construction principles.

·         Skilled usage of Sabre GDS and Microsoft Office applications.

·         Solid understanding of ticketing processes, Nett remit validation, BSP Link and private/APOSD procedures and applications.

Strong time management skills to ensure that all tasks are completed

  • Sabre and Tramada experience highly regarded
  • The proven ability to learn new skills and online applications extremely quickly
  • Experience with an online booking tool an advantage
